Mediterranean Foods - Handling & Storage
A pantry should never be without olive oil, but for proper storage:
- Keep the oil container airtight away from light and in a cool place.
- It is not recommended to refrigerate olive oil.
- Stored properly, olive oil can last years, but it is highly recommended that the sooner it is consumed after opening, the better the taste and aroma it will have.
One does not open a bottle of expensive wine for one glass and store the rest away for a long time!
